One idea, every platform: my content week

How often I post on each platform, how one idea turns into all of it, and how software cuts the work from seven hours a day to about two.

I post on six kinds of feed, and all of it starts from one idea, cut to fit each place.

One idea
  • Shorts and Reels: 3 a day
  • LinkedIn video: 1 to 2 a day
  • Carousels: 1 a day
  • X: up to 3 posts a day
  • YouTube: 2 to 3 long videos a week
  • Reddit: 2 posts a week

Reddit is the odd one out. There I lead with something useful and keep the ask small.

How one idea becomes a week

  1. I write the idea down. Usually it’s something I learned that week building Wren.
  2. It goes through Gemini first.
  3. Then through Claude.
  4. Then I edit it myself. Nothing goes out in a voice that isn’t mine.

Posting is half of it

Posting gets you seen. The other half is showing up where other people are talking:

  • Connecting with people I’d like to work with
  • Commenting when I have something to add
  • Replying to comments on my own posts
  • A short welcome message when someone connects
  • Quoting posts I have a take on
  • Replying when someone mentions me
  • Answering questions in subreddits
  • Pinning the best comment
1,000

touches a week. That’s my estimate for the plan above, posts and replies together.

The hours

By hand, this is about seven hours a day of clicking around eight platforms. Software now does the posting and lines up the replies, so I spend one to three. The ideas are still mine.

The whole setup is in this video.
